August 2020 Welcome Back/Orientation Information

Welcome to our new incoming Bulldogs and welcome back to our returning Bulldogs!

Orientation and schedule pick-up dates are primarily as follows:

  • Grade 12 – Tuesday, August 4th

  • Grade 11 – Wednesday, August 5th

  • Grade 10 – Thursday, August 6th

  • Grade 9 – Friday, August 7th

You will be emailed a specific 10 minute time slot to arrive at Sobrato to begin the drive-thru Orientation process. Please note, there are many stations along the route so plan on spending approximately 1 hour to complete the process.

Please arrive on time for the designated appointment, and wear a mask. To assist with the safety of our students and staff, it will be extremely helpful to have a parent/guardian driver. While most of the process will be drive-thru, students will be exiting their cars to safely take their ID picture.  We also ask that you stay safe by limiting your vehicle to one household- no carpooling.

If you are unable to print your emergency card we will have a printed copy for you to sign at the first station. Please bring your own pen with you to minimize COVID-19 exposure risk.

Please click on the links below to view important information regarding orientation and schedule pick-up days, times and required documents.

The online data confirmation must be completed in order for a student to receive their schedule. See specifics about this process below.

If you are unable to attend your orientation appointment you can call the front desk: (408) 201-6200 to make an appointment for August 10th, 11th, or 12th. Once the orientation process has been completed you will receive your class schedule.

NOTE:  If you have any library books or textbooks from last year, please bring them to orientation and return them to Station 6.

IMPORTANT BACK-T0-SCHOOL INFORMATION:
1. Online data confirmation – All required forms must be completed and verified by parent/guardian on Aeries Portal starting Thursday July 29 and prior to orientation day.  Parent/Guardians must login to their Aeries Portal and follow the directions to complete the form verification process.  If you would like assistance with accessing your Aeries Portal, please contact our Student Data Specialist at (408) 201-6227.

Once you have completed all of the required data confirmation on your Aeries Portal, the final data confirmation screen will prompt you to click the “Print New Emergency Card” button.

Students will not be able to pick up their schedule until all forms have been verified by parent/guardian AND a printed signed copy of the Student Emergency Card with current and accurate information is submitted on orientation day.

2. Pre-purchase for ASB items – Purchases of ASB items may be made by going to the ASB Store on the Sobrato website (click on the ASB Store quick link) prior to your specific orientation time.  Please have your receipt available during your drive-thru orientation.

3. Order your school pictures online – All students will have their picture taken on orientation day for their student ID card.  This is also the picture which will be in the 2020-2021 yearbook. Families may go online to order their student’s school picture package by going to the Sobrato website homepage and clicking on the School Pictures link. Seniors should make an appointment for their Senior Portraits.  The Senior Portrait will be used in the yearbook rather than the ID card picture.
