Join Us in Honoring our Local History: Volunteer at the Historic Machado School

In our District, we take immense pride in our rich community history and few places capture that heritage quite like the historic Machado School. For generations, this cherished landmark has given our students a unique, hands-on window into local history.

To keep this inspiring tradition vibrant and growing, we are inviting new volunteer leaders to join the Machado School community. 

Whether you have a passion for history, love working with students, or simply want to give back in a meaningful way, there are wonderful opportunities for you to get involved. As a Machado School volunteer, you can help:

• Guide historic field trips: lead interactive visits and share local history and science with elementary students
   
• Preserve local heritage: help maintain and care for the historical displays and grounds that make Machado so special.

No prior historical experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a heart for supporting our students. Training and mentorship are provided so you’ll be fully supported every step of the way. 

Passing the torch of community leadership to a new generation of volunteers ensures our students continue to benefit from this incredible educational gem for years to come.
