Comprehensive School Safety Plan
Ann Sobrato High School is committed to providing a safe, supportive learning environment for all students and staff. The Comprehensive School Safety Plan (CSSP) is reviewed and updated annually and includes procedures for emergency response, child abuse reporting, campus supervision, student behavior and discipline, and safe ingress and egress routes. Emergency procedures are posted in every classroom.
Safety procedures are reviewed annually with staff and students. Staff and students receive ongoing safety training, including Run, Hide, Defend protocols. Sobrato follows health and safety guidelines from the California Department of Public Health, and designated staff are trained to respond to medical emergencies, including AED use and Narcan administration. The school also uses Securly to monitor school-issued accounts for potentially harmful online activity in order to support student safety and well-being.
